Fragments explores the inner world of displacement

Fragments by Iranian-Canadian composer Siman Shahi, explores the inner world of displacement: the memories that stay, the fears that surface, and the search for meaning and hope after leaving home.

With poetry by Nika Khanjani drawn from conversations with displaced people, it brings these often unseen experiences into music.

From the composter, “For those who know the experience of leaving home, I hope something in this music feels familiar and offers a sense of recognition. Your stories matter and deserve to be heard. For those who haven’t, I hope Fragments opens a door to curiosity, understanding, and to meeting one another with greater compassion.”
